What are my email sending limits?
The following limits apply to all messages sent via an authenticated SMTP service. This will primarily be used for email sent via a mail client, but can also include mail sent via your website if configured to send via SMTP.
We impose a limit of 8,000 messages per e-mail address within a 24 hour period.
The following limits also apply:
You can send up to 10,000 recipients, but no more than 2,000 unique recipients per day.
A single email may not be sent to more than 100 individual addresses, ie CC or BCC or bulk email.
As an example, if you were to send 100 emails to 5 different e-mail addresses within a 24 hour period. We would count that as 100 messages to 5 unique recipients and a total of 500 emails sent.
Web Server Limits
There is a limit of 500 messages per day on all e-mail that is sent by our web servers, ie email you send from your web site from within a Contact Us style Form on your site. E-mails sent by the web servers should be no larger than 5 MB in size. This applies to all messages sent via the PHP mail() function.
Email Size Limits
Our mail systems will accept attachments that are up to 32MB in size and the maximum single message size is 50MB in total. If you wish to send larger files, we would recommend that you split your email for larger files or consider using a third party file sending system such as We Transfer. Note there may be some charges from a third party provider depending on what you are sending, please check with them first. For more information about We Transfer, please visit their site at https://wetransfer.com
Autoresponders
You can set an autoresponder within WebMail (visit https://mail.browsermail.co.uk to log in) to send a reply back or via code in your web site. If you set an automatic reply for such as a holiday or Out of Office reply, please use plain text and only use standard character, ie A to Z and 0 to 9 and please avoid the use of special characters. Once you have set the responder up please allow a minimum of 30 minutes before you 'test' the feature. Please note that the autoresponder will only send once every 8 hours per sender to minimise spam and junk responses.
Deleted Email
In the event you permanently delete email and need to restore it, if advised promptly, we may be able to recover your mailbox and emails. There is a charge for this service from £40 plus VAT per mailbox. Please note that uninstalling your email client or deleting your email data from your devices will not delete it from our Servers and you must request a deleting of a mailbox.
Unused Mailboxes
In the event a mailbox is not accessed for more that 180 days, it will be removed. All mailboxes on a domain will take up resources and so as general maintenance to make sure our systems run smoothly, periodically a check is performed to free up and remove any unused services. It is therefore important that you log in to a mailbox and access a web site at least once within a 180 day period to make these as active. Please note that we do not send reminders or notifications to advice a service will be removed however, in most cases, we can restore a removed service and if within 30 days can also restore data and after 30 days, just the service that was removed.
Web Sites and related Services (ftp, SSL, DNS, etc)
All web sites, FTP, email/mailboxes are on a Shared Hosting Platform. Your site and related services do not reside on a dedicated server* and so all sites are monitored for excessive use and where required, may be temporarily restricted. It is also possible that your site may respond slow be become temporarily unavailable in the event another site on the same server is using excessive resources. Sites that persistently use excessive resources, resulting in major impact to other users, may be permanently removed without warning.
In the unlikely event your web site suffers a catastrophic failure, we will reconstruct the site from the content that we have and you will be required to restore any material and information that you have uploaded or changed. With regards to our eConcept systems we may periodically create a backup of all databases for maintenance purposes only and by request, can restore this data to the last backup created. All eConcept systems must run on our servers and will not be installed on any other server or system.
In the event a web is not accessed or an ftp service is not used for more that 180 days, it may be removed. All hosting space on a domain will take up resources and so as general maintenance to make sure our systems run smoothly, periodically a check is performed to free up and remove any unused services. It is therefore important that you visit your site and, if you have ftp access, log on to the your ftp service at least once within a 180 day period to keep these active. Please note that we do not send reminders or notifications to advice a service will be removed however, in most cases, we can restore a removed service and if within 30 days can also restore data and after 30 days, just the service that was removed.
* Dedicated Servers for high-volume usage are available upon request but the cost for such services may be prohibitive for regular or small usage sites. If you are interested in such a service, please contact us for more information.
Where required, a customer may request a DNS Modification. This type of modification refers to such services as email or hosting, eg you may wish to have your email in a different location to your main site hosting. To accomplish this, a DNS entry is made to 'point' your domain to the appropriate service. Additional DNS entries can also be added to assist with the identification of a domain for such as Search Engine services. In all cases, all DNS requests must be made in writing, either by post of email and it is the responsibility of the person requesting the change to ensure the DNS request is both required and correct. Please note that incorrect DNS entries can make your services become unavailable. All DNS Modifications require a minimum of 24 hours, typically 48 hours to 'propagate' or be 'seen' by other DNS servers.
HIGH RESOURCE USER POLICY
Resources are defined as bandwidth and/or processor utilization and Supake may implement the following policy to its sole discretion:
When a website is found to be monopolising the resources available, Supake reserves the right to suspend that site immediately.
In all cases the user will be notified by email of any foreseeable excessive use of bandwidth. This policy is only implemented in extreme circumstances and is intended to prevent the misuse of our servers.
Customers may be offered an option whereby Supake continues hosting the website for an additional fee.
ABUSE OF SERVICES
In the event that a domain or web site/content is detected as being used for abusive purposes, eg slander, violence, terrorism, explicit material, etc, the site will be immediately suspended without notice. You will be notified as to why the site has been closed and offered an opportunity to remove any offensive material. If your site content remains in an unsuitable state, your hosting package will be deleted and the appropriate authority may be informed. All .uk domains will be reported to Nominet and other domains to the relevant authority. If you wish to report any misuse or abuse you have received, please email us at info@supake.co.uk or use our online Contact Us form.
DOMAIN NAME REGISTRATION AND PRICING
When we agree to register a domain name (your web address) for a .uk domain, eg www.yourdomain.co.uk, the registration process is done directly with Nominet. When you agree to us registering your domain, you also accept the terms and conditions laid down by Nominet. To view the Nominet terms and condition, please visit www.nominet/go/terms.
When requesting a domain name, we will first do a check to make sure that the name selected is appropriate (we will not register any inappropriate domains) and check it's availability. Where possible, we will also advise of any potential issues with a selected name (copyright, etc) and offer alternatives where possible. Once a name is selected, it will be registered via the appropriate channel with 48 hours of the approved request.
All prices quoted for domain name registration and their subsequent renewals, can be found on our main www.eConcept.co.uk site. All fees are quoted in packages, eg http://www.econcept.co.uk/prod-domains.asp. If there is any variation in the registration or renewal fee charged from those advertised, this will be agreed and confirmed in writing prior to registration or renewal. You will be notified by email before the renewal date of your domain name expires, allowing you to cancel any domain we have registered for you should you decide it is no longer required.
All domain names and related services are automatically renewed in advance on your behalf however, if no longer require the service or domain name and either want to transfer it or simply cancel (and so let it expire) we would request that you give us as much notice as possible, preferably before any renewal anniversary is due. In the even that we have renewed a domain or service that is no longer required, we would ask that where we are unable to cancel those services, they are paid for as normal. Please note that a domain name can be transferred at any time during the term of any agreement with us and we would request that you contact us via our Contact Us page to advise how and when you would like any transfer to take place. For security purposes, we will contact you to confirm your request is valid and may request further confirmation of any requested changes by email.
In the event you do not renew your services, eg web site, mailboxes, etc, with us then those services will be removed however, your domain name will still exist. If your domain name is not renewed before its expiry date you will have up to 30 days after to renew the domain name at the original renewal fee by making payment. After 30 days your domain name, less any associated services, will go into a 60 day grace period which you can still renew your domain name only but with an additional redemption fee of £25 plus VAT. This must be requested by email before the 75th day after your domain has expired, after 90 days after your domain will be removed and deleted from the register. In the event that Supake own the domain name (or any other third party) that domain name may still be renewed by Supake and be made available for others to use. Please note that once a domain name has expired and has been removed from the register, Supake cannot guarantee the availability and so the renewal of your domain name.
If you require any changes or alterations to any services we provide, they must be documented. Any changes, eg new images, text, site functionality, site closure, email or other related services including any DNS or Hosting changes, all must be formally documented in writing. This can be provided by post or via email. While we will accept a call for clarity and to discuss any required changes, these must be formally confirmed in writing.
Any previously provided services, eg an eConcept site, a standard web site, mailboxes, etc, can then be re-created at our normal rates however there may be loss of data and emails due to the previous cancellation of said services. IMPORTANT: if you are unsure of any detail or implication this may have for you, please contact us to discuss it further.
ASTRA DESKTOP ACCOUNTING - SUPPORT SERVICES (ATS)
What is ATS? AstrA Telephone (or Technical) Support is a telephone only based service to allow you to call us with operational queries for the AstrA range of accounting software products. It does not cover any aspect relating to any third-party software (including any supporting products such as SQL Server), any hardware, operating systems or any other non AstrA specific products, ie ATS is for the AstrA Software product only.
All AstrA support contracts have either an initial setup or in the event of a lapsed plan, a reinstatement fee payable. All contracts that have been allowed to lapse and are subsequently renewed at the discretion of Supake Ltd, are subject to this admin fee. This fee is currently £95.00 plus VAT. Additionally, all renewals for ATS are backdated to the last active renewal expiry date, ie there can be no lapse in dates and ATS is only provided on a continuous rolling basis. Support will ONLY be provided for fully paid contracts - there are no exceptions to this.
Where practical and possible, we may try to assist with non AstrA related queries but this is limited to basic issues and available resources at the time. In the event you have major issues, we recommend that you first contact your local dealer for support, or if possible, we may be able to arrange an on-site visit or remote-access call to effect support. Any access, physical or otherwise, is your responsibility to provide that access, where this is not possible, support is only provided verbally and within our normal office hours. In all non AstrA related issues (other software and hardware), additional support charges will apply and an order number may be requested for such support where an invoice to cover all time and costs will subsequently be sent for immediate payment. Non payment for any out-of-ATS support related services will effect the suspension of any ATS cover until all accounts and invoices are cleared.
